Overview
Two internships available for U.S. students:
- Internship in Business Development with focus on the following fields: Strategy, Marketing, Business modelling, Business planning, Business Development, Market research.
- Internship in the Automotive Start Up sector with a two-fold interest: Venture Capital, Open Innovation and Technology Transfer, as well as Technology Scouting and support to the creation of “Proof of Concept” projects for corporate and innovative startups. Areas of interest are: vehicle electrification (sensor technology, digital twin, etc.), performance and motorsport (additive manufacturing, driver safety solutions, etc.) autonomous driving solutions, and new business models and sustainability.
Both companies are located in Northern Italy, one in Padua (1) and the other in Modena (2).
Duties will include support to the activities and participation in specific projects, 30 hours per week.
Both companies require interns to work in presence and remotely, usually three days in presence and two days remotely.
Grant periodo: 3 months: May – July, 2025.
SAEG grantees will be required to participate in a one-to-two days Fulbright Meeting organized by the Fulbright Commission in June.

Overcoming outdated paperwork, the company creates smart contracts at the start of the ride while one of a kind built-in insurance covers drivers and all kinds of vehicles.
Internship 2 in Modena: this company is the world’s largest Open Innovation platform: on one hand, it connects startups with leading corporations, and on the other, it invests and fosters investments to help startups grow, all with a global approach that facilitates internationalization and connections with Silicon Valley.

In Italy, the offices are currently focused on the Food & Beverage, Fintech, and Sustainability sectors (Milan), Automotive (Modena), and Aerospace sectors (Turin).
Selection criteria
– Strong academic background
– Strong affinity between applicants’ future plans and internship’s focus
– Strong awareness of ambassadorial role
Also preference could be given to:
– applicants who are studying or have studied in small US universities
– applicants who have not had extensive, recent previous experience in Italy
– applicants who have not previously held a Fulbright grant in Italy
